During the first lockdown I approached Rupert & Abi from RUDE® if they would be interested to create a printed textile collection with us. I’d always loved their work, having produced several printed textiles designed by them before. They understand screen printing and colour, so when they agreed it was all systems go.
At the time they were busy setting up a new shop on Barbauld Road, London, but in the spirit of lockdown reliance set about sending us some artworks that brought their unique outlook to design and life together. So, it was over to us to produce samples and get going.
We were busy making masks (so many masks) and refining our POD service, so it made perfect sense to squeeze in another project! But once we got started the range came together and we now have an amazing edition to our collections to offer our customers.
The idea behind the range was to bring some summer sunshine to the UK, so we used the bright designs in combination with water based inks and organic cotton to produce the fun range you can buy directly from us or as wholesale items.
With things opening up, we’ve been sticking our head up over the parapet recently and although things are crazy, some RUDE® positivity is defiantly what the doc ordered! Apart from a second jab of course!
